In 2011, Sally joined the consulting team at the Edge Retail Academy where her considerable and broad experience coupled with her merchandising expertise compliments the rest of the Academy retail specialists

Sally’s extensive experience in retail jewelry began working in the family business in Montreal, Canada. After the family relocated to Switzerland, she worked in sales for Bucherer, the largest retail jewelry chain in Switzerland. While in Switzerland she also worked at a gemological lab (SSEF) and for Cartier.

About that time she earned degrees in Jewelry Design and Gemology from the Gemological Institute of America. After relocating to the United States Sally worked at a colored stone wholesaler, and subsequently began a 22-year career with Robbins Bros., The World’s Biggest Engagement Ring Store, becoming their Vice President of Merchandising. She became highly effective in merchandising, product development, team building, diamond buying and supply chain management.

In 2006 she became Vice President of The Shane Company, a $300 million dollar national retailer. During these last two positions she travelled to jewelry shows in Bangkok, Hong Kong, and Basel, and went on diamond buying trips to Tel Aviv, Antwerp and New York. She also implemented Oracle and SAP operating systems.
