Fox Fine Jewelry
Ventura, CA

Debbie Fox grew up studying art, dance and music but became a CPA for a more predictable income. In 1998 she moved to Ventura with her husband George and they opened Fox Fine Jewelry.

With young children at home, she began assisting part time with the store operations, growing her responsibilities as the business grew. Fox’s business background assisted her in the physical running of the business, but her creative side gave rise to alternative ideas that have helped grow the business:

  • In 2000, Fox Fine Jewelry was a pioneer in doubling as an art gallery.
  • In 2009 Fox gave away sterling silver necklaces to the unemployed, inspiring about 150 jewelers nationwide to join them.
  • During the 2014 holidays, Fox offered a $150 jewelry set for just $25, if given to reconcile a relationship.
  • During the 2015 drought, Fox ran a $1,000 “Golden Lawn” contest and hosted a Green Living Expo in downtown Ventura.

Fox has received the City of Ventura Mayor’s Arts Award and the Ventura County Arts Council Award.
